I just need to quickly apologise for my lack of internet presence and blogging over the last week. I have been ill, in my bed, in a bad mood, what can you do :). But have improved significantly so here I am. I am actually going to update you all on my Jenny Craig experience so far, I can't believe another week has gone by and I have got no uni work done! Ah well that is not the topic of this post.
First things first, my progress. I weighed myself yesterday morning and was very pleased to see my scales reading 10 stn 11 and a 1/2 pounds. If you read my last post you will know my first weigh in was 11stn on the dot. One thing that is especially nice is to weigh under 11, now I can't wait to weigh under 10 :). Now I can guarantee some of that at least is water weight however no complaints here. That is extra weight that my body does not need to be carrying and a step forward that means if I loose a couple of pounds this week it will be an even smaller number.
So what have a done other than eat the food? I actually only managed the gym once since I have been ill. However like I said there is definitely some water weight in there and we all know it gets harder to loose weight the more you want to loose and the less you weight but I for one am taking this as a positive piece of motivation to make sure every week when I look at the number on those scales it is going to be less and less :). The feeling is just too good to give up.
My thoughts on the program and the food so far:
I have at this point had the chance to try most of the different meals in my big box of food now and I can give you my opinion on some of my favourites. Remember I am on the vegetarian diet. The soups are all scrumptious, low in calories but very filling. I love the pasta meal, I have never tasted pasta in a packet that actually tasted good, which says a lot for the quality of the food. The two varieties of bran flakes (chocolate and yogurt) are probably the best cereal I have taste in a long time and I really wish I could just go out and buy two massive boxes of them but I somehow think this would defeat the purpose. Having the portion control of pre-packaged and separated food is a really great diet tool as well especially if you are just starting because it gives you the kick and organisation you need. Ooh and I can't forget the carrot and coriander soup :) as good as any I have tasted :). The quality of the food is surprisingly good as I can see why people would have low expectations from a diet company with low salt, low calorie food but do not fear. Not a big fan of the porridge but I don't like porridge so that is really only a matter of personal preferences, I just would ask not to be sent it next time :).
Being ill has also impeded on my memory and unfortunately I forgot to take any pictures of my meals but I promise I will post some in the next couple of days so you can get an idea of what the food looks like out of the packet :).
Anyway so far so good, my consultant is really nice and helpful and I have no real complaints. I hope these reviews are helpful if you're interested in these kinds of home delivered food diet programs and I will be back soon with some more updates :). Hopefully another pound or two drop next week. Bye for now guys.
