The Jenny Craig Diet Program

I recently received the opportunity to try out the Jenny Craig weight loss program for free for two weeks, which I was and am really excited about. You have all read my grumblings about weigh loss, my achievements and my regressions and as I mentioned in my new years resolutions I have had to return to my weight loss journey after significant weight gain in my year and a half of university. Anyway to get to the point I am currently 11 stone exactly, which for me just makes me feel a lot less healthy and happy when I have weighed 9 and 1/2 stone before. It is my goal to get back to that healthy weight and I started by rejoining the gym which I have been making sure to attend at least 3 times a week as much as possible however my eating habits where proving harder to change. So when I got the opportunity to try this diet program I was really pleased. I am hoping it will kick start my weight loss and encourage healthier dietary habits in the long term.

Jenny Craig in the simplest way to put it provides you with home delivered diet food. As pictured above they send you a breakfast (cereal, porridge), lunch, dinner and snack for everyday you are signed up for. Obviously I am on the vegetarian diet so all of my food (only some of which is shown above there are a few more variations that came in my box) is meat free. It is really convenient and the selection looks really yummy. I have so far sampled the carrot and coriander soup, the chocolate bran flakes, a snack bar and a packet of their crisp like things :). All of which I was surprised and impressed with. You do have to buy all of your own fresh food like fruit, vegi's, milk, cheese etc on top of the food packages but you are provided with a lot of handy guides giving you meal plans and guides to free foods (like fruit and veg), something that reminds me a little of weight watchers where you can add as many of them without it effecting your diet. You also recieve a weight loss consultant who you chat to on the phone once a week to help keep you on track. Well it is so far so good but I will keep updating you guys on my trial and let you know how the program and my general health kick are getting along. I would recommend checking out the Jenny Craig website. for more detailed info. Of course I will have to keep up my exercise regime too but I think I can manage. The scales will be the true test though ;).

  1. I started university at 9 1/2 stone and when I finished I was at 11 stone - it seems we're in a similar predicament! Would love to hear your further thoughts on Jenny Craig - I am interested in all these types of diets, because I need something really strict and set out for it to work for me. x

    1. It sucks doesn't it just knowing I used to be healthier... -_- Luise from the company actually asked if I knew any other bloggers that would be interested in trying out and reviewing the trial. I couldn't think at the time because I was worried I might offend someone haha. But I sent your blog to her after you commented hope that is ok :). I am really excited to see how it goes, I just need to stick to the plan haha! xx
